26 members of Young KVODS will be performing in ‘Sunday Night Live’ at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Haymarket on Sunday 29th January 2012. They will be performing 3 routines: Rhythm of Life from Sweet Charity, Headlong from We Will Rock You & One Jump Ahead / A Whole New World from Disney’s Aladdin.

We are proud to announce that Young KVODS July 2012 show will be ‘Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’. This fantastic show has only just become available for amateur youth groups & we are honoured that we have been granted a licence to perform this show in Young KVODS 5th Anniversary year.

The first get together for the show will be held in February 2012 and we now have limited places available for anyone aged 7 to 17 years by the time of the performance.

Young KVODS is now taking enquiries for membership ready for Sep 2011 / Jan 2012. The group is open to all those aged 7 – 16 years by their first performance.

We have 2 very exciting projects lined up for 2012 and we want to know whether YOU would like to take part!! One of them is a once in a lifetime opportunity in a west end theatre, so what are you waiting for?!

Bugsy Malone Wants You!

Young KVODS have a few roles to be filled in Bugsy Malone. If you would like to take part in the show which is taking place from 21st to 23rd July 2011 then please email Julie on secretary(a)kvods.com for an audition slot. Roles to be filled are:

Captain Smolksy

Male 14 – 16

Part of the comedy duo with O’Dreary. A foolish policeman – has dialogue only.

O’Dreary

10 – 16

Part of the comedy duo with Smolksy, his sidekick – has dialogue only.

Lena Marelli

Female 11 – 16

She believes she is the ‘best’ singer in the world! She has a huge show song to pull off and also has dialogue. Think moody superstar.

Angelo

Male or Female 8 – 16

A member of Fat Sam’s gang. Has a few lines of dialogue and also sings ‘Bad Guys’ with the rest of the gang.

Bugsy Malone Meeting

A meeting for prospective cast members & their parents will be held on Monday 7th Feb from 6.30 – 7.45pm at Tiffin Boys School. This show is open to young people aged 7 – 16 years by the performances in July 2011.

Please feel free to come along to the meeting, hear about the show, meet the production team, sing a song from the production and learn some movement!
