Further to the first meeting regarding ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ please find below information regarding pre-audition rehearsals.

Please find following important dates regarding ‘Guys & Dolls Jr’ pre-audition rehearsals. Please feel free to pass this on to anyone who is aged 8 – 16 by the performance dates which are Wednesday 16th to Saturday 19th July 2008.

Please note that these are not ‘open auditions’ and therefore we request that everyone wanting to be in the show attends as many of the below dates as possible. It is also important that you attend these dates as you will be given the audition pieces for the show and also practice the songs.

Please note that each parent / guardian will be given a copy of KVODS Child Protection Policy. We will also ask that you sign an authorisation form to allow your child to audition / perform in the show. Unfortunately without a signed authorisation form we cannot allow your child to audition for the company (if they are a new member) or the show.

Monday 14th January, 6.45pm to 7.45pm -sing through of principal audition pieces (if you only wish to be in the chorus then you need not attend this evening)

Monday 21st January, 6.45pm to 7.45pm – sing through of principal audition pieces (if you only wish to be in the chorus then you need not attend this evening

Monday 28th January, 6.45pm onwards – Principal auditions, please be prepared to wait.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERYONE WISHING TO AUDITION FOR A PRINCIPAL ROLE MUST HAVE PAID THEIR MEMBERSHIP OF £10 BEFORE THE AUDITIONS ON 28TH JAN.

The first get together for ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ will be on Wednesday 12th December from 8 – 10pm.

This meeting and subsequent rehearsals will take place at Kingston Vale Village Hall (opposite Derwent Avenue), Kingston Vale, SW15 3RN.

This first get together is a chance for everyone to hear about the show. It is also a chance for potential new members to meet members of the committee, members of the company and to see whether they would like to come and join us!

The show will take place week commencing 19th May 2008 at the Arthur Cotterell Theatre, Kingston College. The show is open to anyone aged 17 & over by the date of the performances.

If you are unable to attend this first get together but are interested in taking part in the show please email me at secretary(a)kvods.com so I can keep you updated regarding further rehearsals and the auditions in the New Year.
