This is to confirm that the social meeting for the May show WILL still be going ahead tonight.
There is very little snow in Kingston and with the weather forecast looking hopeful we do not envisage any problems. If this alters later in the day / early evening we will of course reconsider.
If you are not able to attend this evening but are interested in taking part in the show please email me on secretary(a)kvods.com
Auditions will be taking place in early Feb and therefore I need to send you a list of audition pieces asap.

As you may be aware Young KVODS were chosen to perform at the Woking Drama Festival. On Thursday 8th October they performed ‘Rags to Riches’ by Richard Roberts. We were given fantastic comments from the adjudicator.
The adjudicator was asked to recall 2 plays to perform again at the awards evening held on Saturday 17th October. He was asked to choose 2 plays that he believed would give a varied evening of entertainment and we were thrilled when Young KVODS were chosen to perform.
The group performed to an almost sold out auditorium at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre on the awards evening and then settled down to hear the announcement of nominations and winners.
We are ecstatic to announce that we won Best Youth play of the Festival!! We would also like to congratulate Jan Smith, our wardrobe mistress, who won the adjudicator’s award. This was awarded to her for her absolutely fantastic costumes.
We would also like to congratulate the following from Rags to Riches for the indicated nominations:
Best Director – Jeff Raggett
Best Youth Actor – Roger Dipper for his portrayal of the General
Best Sound – Darren Lord
Technical Excellence
